My name is Thomas Papantonis I’m the owner of MLP Technologies, a Division of M L P Holdings Inc.
I graduated in 2007 from St.Clair College’s Computer Networking Technologist Program, from there I started my IT career, but it wasn’t the way I had expected. I thought to myself, some experience in the field before going full steam into the entrepreneurial world would be a good idea. Times were slow in the region and full time work to gain experience was hard to come by. So a career of contract jobs began. Three months on, four months off, six months on, 4 months off, etc. In May 2010 I left the region for an opportunity that couldn’t be passed up. Packed my life along with my then fiance (now wife) and moved.
In 2012 we moved back for personal reasons and returned to much of the same contract to contract. I decided enough was enough I would push my dream and build my business. It hasn’t been easy, there have been good years and bad years. I’ve made mistakes and stretched myself past my limits.
MLP Technologies has evolved over the years from when I started as a sole proprietor back in 2005, under the name TItan Electronics.
In 2008 I chose to push my entrepreneurial dream a little bit more and opened a store in August of that year (that time sound familiar?) the Financial Crisis/Recession was at its peak. I closed that store down in February of 2009.
In 2013 I change the name from Titan Electronics to MLP Technologies and kept moving forward.
So what is MLP Technologies and do we offer?
We are a Managed Service Provider (MSP) for Small Medium Sized Businesses (SMB). We provide products and services in Information Technology (IT), Security, and Communications.

To become an alternative technology provider
What does that mean?
With the heightened need to be online and connected with your business any downtime is lost time and lost money. With our products and services we can help improve up time reducing lost business and lost time.
With so many threats out there and attacks on businesses and their information our goal is to help our customers stay connected and protected. Through our products and services along with educating customers and their staff about threats and what to look for we can work to protect critical information and keep business going.
With regards to becoming an alternative technology provider, as much as it sounds as though we are trying to provide some new futuristic service we are not. We provide most of the same products and services our competitors offer. What we mean when we are working to become an alternative technology provider is to become the alternative to the common names. Maybe you aren't happy with the service you're getting from one our known competitors, maybe you're just looking for someone different to work with, we are that alternative.
We look forward to always earning our customer’s business. Not just when we first bring them on, but with every estimate, service call and project they ask of us. We want our customers to know that we put in the same effort in keeping them as we did to bring them on board. That is our mission to each and everyone of our customers.
